Biography:
Diploma in Physical Therapy from the University of Zaragoza. Specialized in the area of Invasive Physical Therapy and Myofascial Pain. Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Zaragoza with European Mention.
Currently, he is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Zaragoza and Head of the iHealthy Research Group (www.ihealthy.unizar.es).
He is the President of the Association for Research in Motor Disability (AIDIMO) and Editor-in-Chief of the Invasive Physical Therapy Journal (ISSN: 23864591) and the Journal of Invasive Techniques in Physical Therapy (ISSN: 2386-4583).
Among his scientific achievements are several publications in international impact journals in the area of invasive physical therapy and pain, highlighting also being the author of the DNHS technique and concept and co-inventor of the patented 3TOOL for the treatment and self-treatment of muscle contractures and overloads. Both the DNHS technique (www.dnhs.es) and the 3TOOL (www.3tool.es) are internationally present and represent an example of transfer from the field of Physical Therapy to the professional field and Society. Additionally, the 3TOOL received the Emerging Innovation Award at the Third Millennium Awards.®
Among the projects in which Dr. Pablo Herrero has participated, two European projects stand out, both led by him: one titled “HEFORA” within the European Project INNOvative LABS for leveraging cross-capacity building between ICT, Health, BIO, and Medicine sectors for new emerging industries in personalized health INNOLABS, and the project titled “Knowledge Alliance for Innovative Measures in Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders -Prevent4Work-. He also has experience participating in other European projects such as Motigravity, for technology transfer from the aerospace sector to the healthcare sector of physiotherapy, specifically for gait rehabilitation in neurological patients.
